TikToking A Threat: Naples 13-Year-Old Handcuffed After Sending Rifle Photo To Girl

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 13-year-old boy from Naples, Florida, was taken into custody on March 20, 2026, following a digital death threat sent over social media. Sebastian Manuel Blanco now faces a felony charge for making an electronic threat to kill, cause bodily injury, or carry out a mass shooting or act of terrorism.

The investigation began when the Naples Police Department alerted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office about an alarming exchange on TikTok. According to authorities, Blanco sent a photograph of a rifle to a young girl along with a specific threat to end her life.

While both the suspect and the victim live in Naples, the case fell under the jurisdiction of the Florida Keys because the victim was visiting Monroe County when she received the messages earlier this month.

Detectives in Monroe County moved quickly to secure a warrant for the teenager’s arrest. Law enforcement officers in Collier County located Blanco on Friday and served that warrant, taking him into local custody.

“These are serious cases and I will not tolerate such threats made on social media or anywhere else,” Sheriff Rick Ramsay stated following the arrest.

Blanco remains charged as the legal process moves forward in the juvenile system.
