SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – Emergency crews pulled out the car that was burning on the Skyway Trail this morning, with a body in the trunk. Investigators have yet to identify the victim. An update from police on Tuesday says the victim is an adult male.
Shortly after 6 AM Monday morning, St.Pete Fire Rescue responded to a car fire on the Pinellas Trail behind the Twin Brooks golf course near 22nd Ave., South and 41st St. S.
Once extinguished, firefighters discovered a body in the trunk. St, Pete police are now investigating and say that the body is badly burned, but have concluded that the victim is an adult male.
