Passenger Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident at Bruton Road and SR-39 Intersection
PLANT CITY, Fla. – A two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning involving a Jeep Cherokee and a tractor-trailer loaded with sand resulted in injuries to a passenger. The crash occurred at the intersection of Bruton Road and SR-39 at approximately 8:36 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 36-year-old Plant City man was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Bruton Road when he attempted a left turn. During the turn, the Jeep crossed into the path of a northbound tractor-trailer, driven by a 45-year-old Bradenton man.
The two vehicles collided, causing the tractor-trailer to overturn.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries but did not require transport to a hospital. However, a 35-year-old Plant City woman, a passenger in the Jeep, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is currently under investigation.
