PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has issued its weekly lane closure summary for Pinellas County, and drivers should prepare for potential delays. The closures, scheduled from Sunday, September 21, through Saturday, September 27, will affect several key arteries, including stretches of I-175, US 19, and SR 60.

Commuters in the southern part of the county will face nighttime closures on I-175 from 16th Street S to 4th Street S, nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

The US 19 corridor is particularly impacted, with multiple sections scheduled for nighttime work. Drivers on US 19 from SR 580 (Main Street) to SR 586 (Curlew Road) and from Drew Street to Sunset Point Road should expect closures Sunday through Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The US 19 Frontage Road in the same Drew Street to Sunset Point Road section will also be closed during these hours.

Several other major roads are also on the list. Daytime closures are planned for Alt US 19 from Meres Boulevard to Tampa Road and at the intersection of Anclote Road/Coquina Drive, running from Monday through Friday. Additionally, a westbound lane closure is scheduled for SR 686 (East Bay Drive) from west of US 19 to Belcher Road, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists should also be aware of a long-term closure on SR 60 (Gulf to Bay Boulevard), where eastbound lanes will be closed 24 hours a day through late 2025. Another ongoing closure affects SR 595 (Bay Pines Boulevard) at War Veterans Memorial Park, with daytime work continuing through October 3.
