Traffic Alert: Water Main Break Forces Closure Of South Lois Avenue In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – A water main break has forced the closure of a portion of South Lois Avenue in Tampa.

Starting at 10:00 AM today, South Lois Avenue will be closed to traffic between West Neptune Street and West Zelar Street. Crews from the Tampa Water Department are on site working to repair the break.

Barricades and signs have been placed in the area to direct traffic flow. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

The Tampa Water Department estimates that repairs will be completed and normal traffic patterns will resume by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7th. However, the work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
