17-year-old dies in a water-related incident after diving on a hookah rig.
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A day of diving turned tragic on Saturday when 17-year-old Cameron Isaiah Queen of Plantation, Florida, died following a water-related incident off the coast of Grassy Key. Queen was reportedly using a hookah rig for a dive when the incident occurred.
Authorities state that Queen was swimming back to his boat around 1:30 p.m. when he submerged beneath the surface.

Bystanders quickly initiated CPR, and emergency services were called to the scene. The U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) swiftly responded to the distress call.
Queen was transported to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon, Florida, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials do not suspect foul play, and the exact cause of death is pending autopsy results.
