Tragic Left-Turn Collision On CR-1 In Pinellas County Leaves Bushnell Motorcyclist Dead

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A Friday afternoon crash at a Pinellas County intersection has claimed the life of a 33-year-old motorcyclist.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 2:47 PM. A 29-year-old man from Spring Hill was driving a Toyota Camry southbound on County Road 1. At the same time, a Bushnell man was riding an Aprilia motorcycle northbound on the same roadway.

The collision happened at the intersection of 115th Avenue North. Investigators state that the driver of the Camry attempted to make a left turn, moving directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the sedan.

Emergency responders transported the 33-year-old rider to a local hospital.

However, medical staff could not save him, and he later expired from the injuries he sustained in the wreck. State troopers have not yet released the names of either individual involved as the investigation continues.
