Trump: A ‘Group Of People’ Not Biden, Is Running The Country, And Destroying It

Former President Donald Trump maintained that President Joe Biden is not really running the country, but rather it’s led by a “group of people,” perhaps with ties to former President Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

But whoever it is, Trump added, they’re running America right into the ground.

Trump made the comments in an interview with commentator Dave Rubin. Rubin released a 20-minute segment of the interview on his YouTube channel and indicated subscribers could see the full session.

Near the end, Rubin asked Trump, “Who do you think is really running this thing?”

“I think it’s a group of people,” Trump responded.

“A lot of people say Susan Rice and Obama, and a lot of people say, perhaps, Clinton to a lesser extent, although she never got along with Biden. … You have people — it’s a group of people. I don’t think it’s Biden, frankly, and in many ways, I wish it were because that’s the way it’s supposed to be.”

“But I don’t believe it is,” Trump added. “And, maybe [Vice President Kamala] Harris to an extent, although I don’t think she’s distinguishing herself with her border trips.”

Continuing, Trump noted, “When [Biden] signed those 17 declarations, special orders, presidential orders, he signed them and he didn’t really seem to know what the hell he is signing.”

“When you think of him, they were all sitting there waiting to be signed —and they were radical. They were radical. [Sen.] Bernie Sanders would have never asked for most of the things that he’s signing. This is far worse than Bernie Sanders ever imagined and it’s pretty amazing.”

“So, a lot of people ask [about] that group: ‘Who is it?’ It’s really, I think it’s a group of people. And, you know, the same names, but it’s a group of people. And they get together and this is what they want to do and they’re destroying our country, really destroying our country.”

In the segment, Rubin also asked Trump about why he ran for president. He noted that talk show hosts such as Oprah and Phil Donohue used to pose the idea to him decades ago.

“I assumed somebody else would do it because people cannot be that stupid,” answered Trump, noting that he couldn’t believe American leaders could be taken advantage of by foreign powers such as China and Japan.

“And they didn’t.”

Rubin pointed out that Trump says now the same things he articulated decades ago, and asked about Trump’s willingness to endure the slurs directed at him, when he understood the media was intertwined with “the swamp” and about his upcoming rallies, including in Sarasota on July 3.

Trump replied that he understood the media’s relationship with D.C. powerbrokers was “shaky,” and noted that “before I ran for president I got a lot of great press.”

But, he added, “Once I announced … the press tuned radically different and now they’ve become very corrupt. It’s a terrible thing to watch.”

“Believe it or not, Dave, I am a very honest person, and I’m not sure that you can be honest and be in politics,” Trump explained.

Trump said the media are also one reason why he hosts the rallies, since his supporters don’t have another outlet.

“They want to have a voice out there. You don’t get it from the media. They don’t give you a fair voice,” he told Rubin.

Recalling those past interviews, Trump said he knew he was going to run for president after turning down a big extension for “The Apprentice.” “I said no, I have to run for president,” he said.

Trump also promoted his frequent press releases, which appear on the Tampa Free Press, saying their circulation is “very big.” He noted that they have almost as much reached as his social media output, without the constraints of character limits.

But Trump added that he would be back on social media “In the not too distant future,” and was exploring options on how to do that.

Since he was tossed off Twitter, Trump told Rubin, “I hear Twitter has become very, very boring.”
