Trump Accuses Minnesota Leaders Of ‘Inciting Insurrection’ After Saturday Shooting

President Donald Trump slammed Minnesota’s top leaders on Saturday, accusing them of “inciting insurrection” and hiding massive theft following a deadly shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis.

In a fiery post on Truth Social, the President defended the actions of the Border Patrol agent involved and claimed the real reason for the chaos in the state is a “cover up” of billions of dollars in stolen money.

Trump posted a photo of the handgun and two full magazines reportedly found on the suspect, asking, “What is that all about?”

He questioned why local police were not on the scene to assist federal officers. “The Mayor and the Governor called them off?” Trump wrote. He claimed that local police were stopped from doing their jobs, forcing federal agents to protect themselves in what he called “not an easy thing to do.”

The President then pivoted to serious allegations of financial fraud, suggesting that the federal presence in Minnesota is necessary because of “massive Monetary Fraud” involving billions of dollars. “Where are the Tens of Billions of Dollars that has been stolen from the once Great State of Minnesota?” he asked, also demanding to know why Congresswoman Ilhan Omar allegedly has “$34 Million Dollars in her account.”

Trump insisted that “Illegal Criminals” were allowed to infiltrate the state through open border policies and that the current unrest is a distraction. “Much of what you’re witnessing is a COVER UP for this Theft and Fraud,” he stated.

Trump didn’t mince words when describing Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, calling them “sanctimonious political fools” who should be looking for the missing money instead of criticizing federal law enforcement.

“The Mayor and the Governor are inciting Insurrection, with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric!” he added. Trump stated that 12,000 “Illegal Alien Criminals” have already been arrested and removed from the state, claiming the situation would be “far worse” if they were still there.

The President’s comments came shortly after Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino confirmed that an agent shot and killed an armed man at 9:05 a.m. Bovino said the agents were conducting a targeted operation to arrest Jose Huerta Chuma, an undocumented immigrant with a history of domestic assault, when a different man approached them with a 9mm handgun.

Bovino said the man “violently resisted” and the agent fired in self-defense, fearing a “massacre” of law enforcement.

Governor Walz sees the situation differently. Before Trump’s post, Walz expressed outrage over the shooting, which is the second fatal incident involving federal agents in Minneapolis in 17 days. “Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” Walz wrote, demanding the President pull the “violent, untrained officers” out of the state immediately.

While Walz called for their removal, Trump made it clear he believes the agents are the only thing standing between the state and chaos. “LET OUR ICE PATRIOTS DO THEIR JOB!” Trump declared.
