President Demands Investigation into ‘Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians’
President Donald J. Trump unleashed a fiery statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Saturday, saying that the FBI secretly placed a staggering 274 agents within the crowd at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
In the post, President Trump claimed this deployment was “against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards” and directly contradicted previous statements by FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed… 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax,” President Trump wrote. He went on to suggest that these individuals were “probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as ‘Law Enforcement Officials.'”
The President is now demanding a full accounting of the agents’ identities and their activities on that day. He framed the push for an investigation as a duty to the “Great American Patriots” who, he stated, “were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country.”
President Trump concluded his post by explicitly calling out Director Wray, demanding “major explaining” and drawing a parallel to former FBI Director James Comey, stating, “That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray, who got caught LYING, with our Great Country at stake.”
He vowed, “I owe this investigation of ‘Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians’ to them! WE CAN NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO AMERICA AGAIN!”
The White House has not yet released a formal statement beyond the President’s social media post.
