Trump Hammers “Disgusting” Super Bowl Halftime Show In Scorching Truth Social Post

The dust has barely settled on Super Bowl LX, but the conversation has shifted from the Seattle Seahawks’ 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots to a heated cultural debate. Late Sunday night, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to deliver a scathing review of the halftime show featuring Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, labeling the performance a “slap in the face” to the country.

Trump’s primary grievance centered on the linguistic and cultural direction of the set. Bad Bunny, who made history as Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2025 and recently secured a Grammy for Album of the Year, performed entirely in Spanish.

The President argued that “nobody understands a word this guy is saying” and claimed the performance failed to represent American standards of excellence. He went further, describing the choreography as “disgusting” and inappropriate for the millions of families watching globally, ultimately calling it one of the worst halftime shows in history.

The critique comes at a time when the President is heavily emphasizing national pride and economic success. In his post, he contrasted the “mess” of the halftime show with the “Greatness of America,” citing record-breaking performances in the stock market and 401(k) accounts. Trump also predicted that the “Fake News Media” would praise the show due to a lack of understanding of the “real world,” while also squeezing in a demand for the NFL to scrap its new kickoff rule.

The tension surrounding the performance was evident even before kickoff. Turning Point USA, the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, organized an “All-American Halftime Show” as a direct alternative for viewers. This counter-event featured Kid Rock and was designed to celebrate “American faith, family, and freedom.”

While Bad Bunny’s fans point to his massive global dominance and his status as a four-year leader on Spotify “Wrapped” lists as proof of his relevance, the President’s comments have highlighted a deep divide in how Americans view modern entertainment.
