Trump Reverses Stance, Urges GOP To Release All Jeffrey Epstein Files

In a surprising shift, President Donald Trump has called on House Republicans to vote in favor of releasing files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, a measure he had previously opposed.

The President’s change of heart was announced on social media shortly after his return from Florida. “We have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party,” Trump wrote.

The measure, which has been championed by Democrats and a bipartisan group of Republicans, would compel the Justice Department to make more documents from the investigation into the late financier and convicted sex offender public.

The President’s reversal is seen as an implicit acknowledgment that supporters of the transparency measure have secured enough votes to pass it in the House. The future of the legislation, however, remains uncertain in the Senate.
