Trump Says US Leveled Iranian Military Hub ‘Khjarg Island’ While Spiking The ‘Seizure’ Talk

President Trump ordered a massive aerial assault on Iran’s Kharg Island on Friday, a move he described as one of the largest military actions in the history of the Middle East. The strike, executed by U.S. Central Command, focused exclusively on military installations on the Persian Gulf island, which serves as the nerve center for Iran’s global oil exports.

In a social media post released as he departed for Florida, the President confirmed the “total obliteration” of every military target on the island but noted that he purposefully spared the oil infrastructure for “reasons of decency.”

However, he issued a direct warning that any interference with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz would lead him to reconsider that restraint.

The timing of the announcement added a layer of tactical silence to the day’s events. Before boarding Air Force One, Trump took questions from a pool of traveling reporters but made no mention of the ongoing or completed operation.

The public only learned of the strike via his digital announcement once he was en route. This military escalation follows a tense Fox News Radio interview recorded Thursday night, where the President was asked directly if he had plans to seize the island entirely.

Trump reacted with visible frustration to the inquiry, labeling it a “foolish” question and refusing to show his hand, arguing that revealing his strategic intentions to the media would be a lapse in judgment.

While he told the interviewer that seizing the island was “not high on the list,” he pointedly added that his stance could change in a matter of seconds.

Kharg Island is a critical piece of geography; as the primary terminal for nearly all of Iran’s crude oil, any threat to its stability has immediate implications for global energy markets.

By dismantling the military presence while leaving the loading docks and pipelines intact—for now—the administration has signaled a strategy of high-stakes pressure without immediately triggering a total collapse of regional oil flow.
