President Donald Trump issued a sharp directive late Sunday, signaling a major shift in domestic security operations by ordering Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to prepare for a new role in national transit hubs. The announcement, delivered via a social media statement, indicated that the administration plans to move ICE personnel into airport security positions as early as Monday morning.
The President’s message focused heavily on the current state of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Trump characterized the existing management of these agencies as a “disgrace” to the country and criticized Democratic leadership for what he described as “vicious and uncaring” policies.
He suggested that if current security standards at airports and other locations are not elevated to his administration’s satisfaction, ICE will take over those responsibilities.
“If the Democrats do not allow for Just and Proper Security at our Airports, and elsewhere throughout our Country, ICE will do the job far better than ever done before!” the President stated.

The move follows a series of executive actions aimed at border control. Trump credited Republican efforts for transforming what he called a “dangerous Open Border Policy” into the “Strongest Border in American History.”
Drawing a direct line between border successes and domestic transit, he expressed a desire to bypass traditional bureaucratic delays. His instructions to ICE leadership were blunt: “GET READY. NO MORE WAITING, NO MORE GAMES!”
While the specific logistics of how ICE agents will integrate with or replace TSA screening processes remain unclear, the President framed the decision as a matter of national protection.
He asserted that while his political opponents would “never protect America,” the Republican Party is committed to a more aggressive security posture. DHS has not yet released a formal operational plan regarding the personnel shift scheduled for tomorrow.
