Trump Signs $900 Billion U.S Stimulus Relief Package

President Donald Trump has signed the $900 billion COVID package that will deliver relief cash to businesses and individuals.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement, “I applaud the President’s decision to get billions of dollars of crucial COVID-19 relief out the door and into the hands of American families. I am glad the American people will receive this much-needed assistance as our nation continues battling this pandemic.”

Trump tweeted around 6 PM saying, “Good news on Covid Relief Bill. Information to follow!”

The White House released a statement from Trump Sunday night, “As President of the United States, it is my responsibility to protect the people of our country from the economic devastation and hardship that was caused by the China Virus,” the president said in a statement released by the White House. “I understand that many small businesses have been forced to close as a result of harsh actions by Democrat-run states. Many people are back to work but my job is not done until everyone is back to work.”

A government shutdown has been averted after President Donald Trump signed the annual funding measure along with the COVID-19 stimulus package.
