Trump Slams Rumors Of Iran Silence, Says Continuous Talks Must End 47-Year Stalemate

President Donald J. Trump flatly denied recent reports suggesting that diplomatic communications between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran have completely broken down.

Characterizing the claims as fake and erroneous news, the President confirmed that direct contact between Washington and Tehran remains active and ongoing. He noted that the two nations have been in steady dialogue over the last several consecutive days, including today.

The statements come amid a highly volatile backdrop of regional tensions, including back-and-forth military actions, naval blockades, and conflicting reports regarding the status of indirect cease-fire negotiations.

Iranian state media outlets had previously indicated a halt in talks due to escalating hostilities involving regional proxies and ongoing military maneuvers. However, the Trump administration maintains that the diplomatic channel remains fully intact, with Washington seeking a comprehensive agreement that addresses regional security and long-standing nuclear concerns.

While the exact nature and direction of the talks remain up in the air, Trump signaled a firm stance on the timeline for a resolution, indicating that decades of geopolitical gridlock must come to an end.

“Where they lead, one never knows,” Trump said, “but as I told Iran, ‘It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal. You’ve been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!'”
