President Donald Trump delivered a powerful defense of his “Peace Through Strength” agenda during a spirited White House press briefing on Monday, telling reporters that his actions are guided by a fundamental belief that “God is good.”
The exchange followed a weekend of decisive leadership where the President used Truth Social to announce the daring rescue of an American servicemember trapped behind enemy lines and issued a stern warning to Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
The President’s social media posts, which included the inclusive phrases “Glory be to GOD!” and “Praise be to Allah,” prompted a Washington Post reporter to question whether Trump believes the Almighty is on America’s side in the brewing conflict.
Trump didn’t hesitate to lean into his faith. “I do, because God is good,” the President responded. “Because God is good and God wants to see people taken care of. God doesn’t like what’s happening. I don’t like what’s happening.”

Rejecting the media narrative that he seeks out conflict, Trump emphasized his unprecedented track record of ending hostilities rather than starting them. He reminded the room that he has successfully ended eight wars during his time in office, a feat so significant that even a former Nobel Peace Prize winner reportedly admitted he was the one truly deserving of the award.
“She said, ‘No, no, no. This is ridiculous. They gave me the Nobel Prize, President Trump ended eight wars,’” the President shared.
The briefing served as a reminder of Trump’s massive diplomatic wins during his second term, most notably his role in preventing a nuclear catastrophe between India and Pakistan. Trump noted that the Prime Minister of Pakistan personally thanked him for saving tens of millions of lives.
For the President, these humanitarian victories are the true goal of his administration. “That makes me much happier,” he said, contrasting those peace deals with the necessary but difficult military tension currently unfolding with Iran.
Looking ahead, the President signaled that he isn’t finished cleaning up the global messes he inherited. He concluded the briefing by noting there is “one more to end,” a clear reference to his ongoing commitment to finally brokering a resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Despite the challenges, the President remains focused on a foreign policy that prioritizes American lives and global stability through bold, faith-driven leadership.
