President Donald Trump isn’t ready to take a victory lap just yet. Fresh off the Fourth of July signing of his massive “Big, Beautiful Bill,” the President sat down with Larry Kudlow on Tuesday to talk about what comes next for his administration.

While the recently passed law was designed to cover a full four-year agenda in one go, Trump hinted that his legislative appetite is far from satisfied.

The President reflected on the uphill battle he faced getting the initial package through Congress. He described a chaotic early process where he ignored the skeptics who told him a multi-bill merger was impossible.

By bundling seventeen different pieces of legislation into one “miracle” package, Trump managed to lock in permanent 2017 tax cuts, nix taxes on tips and overtime, and hike the child tax credit to $2,200. The law also made massive shifts in federal spending, funneling billions toward the border while trimming about $1 trillion from Medicaid over the next ten years.

Despite the sweeping nature of that win, Trump told Kudlow that his team is already eyeing fresh targets. He specifically pointed toward the “Save America Act,” a proposal aimed at overhauling how the country votes.

The President made it clear that his next big push will focus on strict voter ID requirements and proof of citizenship for all voters. He also signaled a desire to crack down on mail-in voting, suggesting it should be reserved strictly for the military or those with a “good excuse.”

For now, the White House says it is focused on “managing” the massive changes already signed into law. However, with the SAVE Act waiting in the wings, the administration is clearly pivoting from economic restructuring to a high-stakes battle over election rules.

Critics and supporters alike are watching to see if Trump can pull off a second legislative act as large as his first.
