President links O’Donnell to “Threat to Humanity” as comedian blames his policies for deadly Texas floods, including Camp Mystic tragedy.
President Donald Trump announced Saturday on Truth Social that he is “giving serious consideration” to stripping US-born citizen Rosie O’Donnell of her citizenship, calling her a “Threat to Humanity” and suggesting she “remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
This statement comes as O’Donnell, who relocated to Ireland earlier this year, publicly blamed President Trump for the devastating flash floods in Central Texas that have claimed at least 129 lives, including dozens of children.

The catastrophic floods, which began on July 4th, have swept across six counties in Texas, with Kerr County being particularly hard hit. As of July 10, at least 103 deaths have been confirmed in Kerr County alone, including 36 children.
The tragedy includes the decimation of Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian camp in Kerrville, where 27 campers and counselors are confirmed dead and 11 campers and one counselor remain missing after the Guadalupe River surged more than 20 feet in a matter of minutes.
In a TikTok video, Rosie O’Donnell asserted that the flood fatalities are a direct consequence of President Trump’s policies, specifically alleging he “guts all of the early warning systems and the weathering forecast abilities of the government.”

She continued, “these are the results that we’re going to start see on a daily basis because he has put this country in so much danger by his horrible, horrible decisions and his ridiculously immoral bill that he just signed into law. As Republicans cheered, as Republicans cheered, people will die as a result and they have started already. Shame on him. Shame on every GOP sycophant who’s listening and following the disastrous decisions of this mentally incapacitated POTUS.”
The legal basis for stripping a natural-born citizen of their citizenship is exceedingly narrow and typically only applies in cases of fraud during birth documentation.
In response to the disaster, President Trump signed a disaster declaration, authorizing federal relief and directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to coordinate search and rescue efforts. Over 2,100 emergency responders from 10 states have descended on Kerr County, and over 850 people have been rescued.

The floods have become a focal point for strong political reactions. Beyond O’Donnell’s statements, a former member of Houston’s Food Insecurity Board was reportedly fired for criticizing society’s grief over the Camp Mystic deaths due to the camp being described as “whites-only.”
Camp Mystic released a statement expressing profound grief: “Camp Mystic is grieving the loss of 27 campers and counselors following the catastrophic flooding on the Guadalupe River. Our hearts are broken alongside our families that are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. We are praying for them constantly. We have been in communication with local and state authorities who are tirelessly deploying extensive resources to search for our missing girls.” The camp also noted that the youngest girls were sleeping just 225 feet from the river when the flood struck around 4 a.m. on July 4.
