President Donald J. Trump declared Sunday that global leaders, including those from rival nations, have admired his leadership, bringing what he described as a “light over the world.” Speaking at an event in Nevada, Trump recounted interactions with world leaders who, despite their opposition to him personally, have acknowledged the positive impact of his administration.
“I’ve heard it from even our enemies. They call up and say, ‘Sir, we hate you, but there’s light over the world,’” Trump said. “Some of them hate me, but if they liked me, you’d have a problem.”
The president went on to contrast his administration’s approach to global diplomacy with that of his predecessor, claiming that world leaders were often ignored when they sought to contact President Joe Biden.

“I was told today by one of the big leaders of the world that a year ago, they would call for a telephone conversation with the president of the United States, and they’d be told, ‘He’ll call you back in two months.’ Two months! And then, no call came,” Trump stated, adding humorously, “The fake news will say I exaggerated, that it was only one month, but they could never get him on the phone.”
Trump highlighted his commitment to immediate engagement with global leaders, emphasizing that under his leadership, the United States is once again a responsive and proactive force on the world stage.
“When they ask if they can speak with the president, they’re so used to waiting for weeks or months. I say, ‘No, I’ll pick it up right now.’ And then, I can’t get them off the phone—they’re starved for love from the United States,” Trump remarked.
‘America is Back, Open for Business’
Trump assured supporters that his administration has already achieved more in its first week than previous administrations accomplished in years.

“Under our leadership, America is back, open for business, and the world feels it,” he said. “We’ve accomplished more in one week than other administrations have in four years, and we’re just getting started.”
The president’s remarks align with his campaign promise to restore America’s standing on the global stage, focusing on economic growth, military strength, and diplomatic engagement.
Trump’s administration has already taken significant actions in its first week, including executive orders aimed at strengthening national security, repealing regulations he argues hinder economic growth, and reestablishing trade policies that favor American businesses.
As Trump continues to forge relationships with world leaders, his supporters remain hopeful that his administration’s assertive approach will bring renewed respect and influence for the United States on the international stage.
“There’s a light over the world now, not just in America,” Trump said confidently. “Everyone feels it.”
