The latest Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, released Friday, shows that 53% of likely U.S. voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. This figure, consistent with recent trends, indicates a solid majority of support for the President.

The poll, which tracks public opinion on a daily basis, also reveals that 46% of likely voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing. The latest results include 34% who “Strongly Approve” and 37% who “Strongly Disapprove.” This gives President Trump a Presidential Approval Index rating of -3.

Rasmussen Reports notes that these figures are based on a five-day rolling average of telephone and online surveys. The survey data is collected from 300 likely voters per night, with a total sample of 1,500 voters for the full tracking poll.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

While some other polls may show more dramatic fluctuations, Rasmussen Reports emphasizes that its methodology, which includes automated telephone polling and an online survey tool to reach a diverse demographic, is designed to provide a consistent, long-term view of job approval trends.

The firm states that it is the only nationally recognized public opinion firm that still tracks President Trump’s job approval ratings on a daily basis.

The poll results come as the nation continues to navigate various political and economic issues.
