Tulsi Gabbard Resigns As Intel Chief Following Husband’s Cancer Diagnosis

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her position in President Donald Trump’s administration, effective June 30.

Gabbard informed the president of her decision during an Oval Office meeting on Friday. The news was first reported by Fox News Digital, which obtained a copy of her resignation letter.

In the letter, Gabbard cited personal family reasons for her departure, stating that her husband was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.

Gabbard expressed gratitude to the president for her time in the administration, writing that she was “deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half.”
