Conservative Youth Movement Sees Unprecedented Growth Following Founder’s Assassination
In the wake of the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk, the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has experienced a massive influx of requests to establish new chapters, according to a spokesperson.
The surge in interest follows Kirk’s death on September 10, when he was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University.

Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA and executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” said that the organization has received “over 32,000 inquiries in the last 48 hours to start new campus chapters.”
This figure stands in contrast to the organization’s existing network, which currently comprises around 900 official college chapters and 1,200 high school chapters, with a total presence of 3,500.
Kirk, 31, was widely regarded as a key figure in mobilizing young Republican voters. His death occurred during the first stop of his “The American Comeback Tour.” A suspect, Tyler Robinson, is in custody.
The call to action for young people to join the movement has been amplified by Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

In her first public remarks since his death, she vowed to continue his work, urging young people to join or even start a local Turning Point USA chapter. “If there isn’t a chapter, you can’t find one, then start one,” she said during a livestream, adding, “There is no excuse. Start one.”
Kolvet echoed this, suggesting on X that Kirk’s vision of having a Club America (TPUSA’s high school brand) chapter in every high school across the nation will be realized “much, much faster than he could have ever possibly imagined.”

President Donald Trump paid tribute to Kirk on Truth Social, writing, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”
A memorial service for Charlie Kirk is scheduled to be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on September 21.
