A double homicide investigation in LeFlore County, Oklahoma, has resulted in the arrest of a suspect nearly 800 miles away from the scene of the crime.
On March 21, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a home off Old Tarby Road in Poteau, Oklahoma, where they found 31-year-old Gabrielle Wilson and her 17-month-old daughter deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) was called in to assist with the case. According to an affidavit, investigators reviewed surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home that showed a vehicle registered to Gabrielle’s twin brother, 31-year-old Grant Wilson, arriving at the residence on the afternoon of the shooting.
The footage shows the vehicle leaving the property just four minutes after arrival.

During the initial investigation, the twins’ father arrived at the home. Court documents indicate he informed deputies that the siblings had a history of violent arguments and sometimes, physical altercations.
Following the identification of Grant Wilson as the suspect, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office tracked the man to Georgia, where Monroe County deputies spotted him near Atlanta.
Monroe County deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over, leading to a short high-speed chase. Wilson was eventually stopped and taken into custody without further incident.
Wilson was booked into the Monroe County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder. He has since been extradited back to LeFlore County to face charges.
