HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a two-alarm residential fire at 10505 Bay Hills Circle in Thonotosassa early Tuesday morning. Emergency dispatchers received multiple calls reporting the blaze at 1:50 AM on February 3.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a single-story residence fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters faced several challenges, including a limited local water supply and the risk of the fire spreading to nearby vehicles and homes.

Because of the intensity of the fire, crews utilized a defensive strategy, focusing on containing the blaze and protecting the surrounding area rather than entering the structure. A second alarm was called to provide the necessary personnel to manage the scene.
The fire was declared under control approximately one hour after the initial dispatch. Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the morning to extinguish remaining hot spots.
No injuries to firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local authorities.
