HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A joint enforcement operation conducted by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Vice and Narcotics Unit and the Florida Department of Health resulted in the arrest of two women for allegedly offering sexual acts for money at local massage establishments.

The undercover operation, which took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, targeted illegal prostitution activity at multiple massage parlors across Hernando County. Undercover detectives entered various establishments under the guise of receiving lawful massage services from individuals presented as licensed massage therapists.

During two separate sessions at different locations, the massage therapists reportedly offered unsolicited sexual acts in exchange for cash. These offers constitute violations of Florida State Statute 796.07 (Prohibiting prostitution and related acts).

Following the unlawful offers, detectives detained and arrested the suspects without incident.

The two individuals arrested and their charges are:

  • Chunxiang Jia
    • Arrest Location: Asian Massage Spa, Brooksville, 7370 Broad Street, Brooksville
    • Charge: Offering to Commit Prostitution
  • Tang Yanlin
    • Arrest Location: Oriental Natural Massage, 5135 Commercial Way, Spring Hill
    • Charge: Offering to Commit Prostitution

Upon arrest, authorities discovered that Tang Yanlin was in the United States illegally. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) subsequently placed a detainer on her.

The Department of Health representatives, who were on the scene simultaneously with the arrests, verified that the individuals performing the massages were properly licensed in accordance with state regulations, focusing the charges strictly on the alleged illegal offers of prostitution.

The HCSO stated its commitment to safeguarding the community and ensuring all businesses, including massage establishments, operate in full compliance with state law and maintain lawful, professional standards.
