TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating the deaths of two individuals whose bodies were recovered from the waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway in separate incidents.

On Sunday evening, November 17th, officers responded to a report of a body in the water. They recovered the body of a black male, believed to be in his mid-teens.

On Tuesday morning, November 19th, another body was discovered in the same area. This individual was identified as an adult Hispanic male, estimated to be in his early-to-mid 30s.

Neither body showed obvious signs of trauma, and police do not suspect foul play in either case.

Although still in the early stages of each investigation, the incidents do not appear to be related and there is nothing that suggests foul play.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death for both individuals.

The investigations into both deaths are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tampa Police Department.
