RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A Monday evening commute turned tragic when a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle left two people dead at the intersection of Causeway Boulevard and Windermere Oak Lane. The crash occurred at approximately 5:38 PM, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a 40-year-old woman from Riverview was driving a Toyota Avalon northbound on Windermere Oak Lane. At the same time, a 31-year-old Riverview man was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle heading eastbound on Causeway Boulevard.
As the vehicles reached the intersection, the driver of the Toyota attempted a left-hand turn, moving directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the crash. Investigators remained on-site for several hours to process the scene.
