Police say two people were struck by lightning Saturday while leaving the Yankees Stadium in Tampa.

TAMPA, FL. – Police say two people were struck by lightning Saturday while leaving the Yankees Stadium in Tampa.

Two adults, a male in his 60’s and a female in her 20’s were struck by lightning in parking Lot 1 at Raymond James stadium, while exiting the Yankees Game.

Tampa Fire Rescue transported both patients to the hospital.

“At last check, they were in stable condition. Further details will be provided when information becomes available,” said Jamel Lanee’, Tampa Police PIO.
