Two Shot Overnight At Spring Hill Bar, Detectives Searching For Suspect

Democratic politicians running on tough-on-crime platforms are making names for themselves in many prominent races, and some have even won elections in deep-blue cities drowning in violent crime.

SPRING HILL, Fla. – Two people were shot early Tuesday morning outside, in the parking lot of a Spring Hill bar.

On Tuesday, just before 1:30 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Sunset Lounge, located at 5431 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill in regards to a possible Shooting.

Several callers told 911 operators that “numerous shots” were fired in the parking lot area of the lounge and at least one individual had been struck with gunfire.

Deputies and Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies located two adult male victims in the parking lot. Both victims were suffering from gunshot wounds, according to deputies.

While speaking with witnesses on the scene, deputies learned the suspect possibly fled the area in a vehicle.

Both victims were transported to a local trauma center for treatment.

“Detectives do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence, as several witnesses stated the victims and suspect were engaged in conversation before the incident occurred,” said HCSO.

Detectives are following up on leads in an attempt to identify the suspect. We will update this story when more details are released.
