Two Teens Shot, One Fighting For Life After Tuesday Night Gunfire In Clearwater

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater detectives are piecing together the events of a violent Tuesday night after shooting erupted at a local intersection, leaving two 19-year-old men injured—one critically.

The gunfire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. where North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue meets Carlton Street.

First responders rushed one of the teens to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition. Around the same time, a second 19-year-old arrived separately at Mease Countryside Hospital with a gunshot wound. Medical staff treated and later released him.

Investigators are currently working to determine what sparked the violence. The Clearwater Police Department is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward by calling 727-562-4242.
