SPRING HILL, Fla. – A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill on Wednesday around 4:20 pm, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say, a 54-year-old Spring Hill man driving a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound in the inside lane of Mariner Boulevard. Simultaneously, a 51-year-old Spring Hill man driving a Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound in the adjacent lane.

The GMC Sierra driver veered into the lane of the Toyota RAV4, causing the Toyota driver to take evasive action and steer onto the shoulder of the road. Both vehicles subsequently struck trees, with the GMC Sierra overturning and the Toyota rotating to a final resting position.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4 sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the GMC Sierra was uninjured.
