U.S. Capitol On Lockdown as Number of Trump Supporters Grow in D.C., Clash With Police

The U.S. Capitol in on lockdown, as well as some building evacuations taking place.

The U.S. Capitol Police on Wednesday locked down the Capitol building and evacuated multiple congressional buildings amid growing protests in D.C.

Buildings being evacuated included:

• The Library of Congress’s Madison Building across from the Capitol
• The Cannon House office building
