U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted a precision airstrike on December 23, targeting ISIS operatives and disrupting their efforts to transport weapons.
The airstrike killed two ISIS members and wounded one, while also destroying a truckload of weapons that the operatives were moving through the region. The strike occurred in an area previously under the control of the Syrian regime and Russian forces.

This operation is part of CENTCOM’s broader mission to counter terrorist activities in the region. The effort aims to disrupt and degrade ISIS’s capacity to plan and carry out attacks against civilians and military personnel from the United States, its allies, and regional partners.
“CENTCOM and our partners remain committed to the fight against ISIS and other terrorist groups to ensure the safety and security of the region and beyond,” said a spokesperson for CENTCOM.
The ongoing campaign seeks to prevent ISIS from regrouping and using territories in Syria and Iraq as bases for attacks.
This airstrike highlights the continued vigilance of U.S. forces in addressing threats posed by terrorist groups operating in volatile areas. Further updates on the mission’s impact are expected as CENTCOM assesses the results of its efforts.
