President Donald Trump has confirmed that he ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization.

The strike, which took place in international waters within the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility, resulted in the deaths of three male narcoterrorists. No U.S. forces were harmed in the operation.

The President’s statement said that the targeted vessel was confirmed by intelligence to be trafficking illicit narcotics.

The statement noted the ship was “transiting along a known narcotrafficking passage enroute to poison Americans.” This action is part of a broader effort to combat the flow of illegal drugs, particularly fentanyl, into the United States.
