Federal marshals arrested a 17-year-old in Manatee County early Wednesday morning in connection with the fatal shooting of two young men in Central Florida.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force located and took Keyan Rundell into custody in Ellenton. Rundell was wanted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of second-degree murder.
Authorities identified the victims as 18-year-old Samson Campbell and 19-year-old Dustin Rose. Deputies found both men dead on July 29 in an industrial area in DeLand.
Campbell and Rose were childhood friends. Campbell had recently moved to Chicago, Illinois, while Rose was serving as a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard and attending The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, as a cadet.
Rundell remains in custody.
