A focused manhunt in Spokane’s South Hill neighborhood ended Friday evening when federal agents discovered a fugitive curled up beneath a child’s bed during a raid.

The arrest of Keantray Davon Bryant-Muellner on January 16, 2026, was the culmination of an operation led by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force. Bryant-Muellner was sought on a Secretary’s Arrest Warrant for allegedly violating the terms of his Graduated Re-Entry probation.

The scene unfolded around 5:30 p.m. near the 3000 block of South Regal Street. Task force members established a heavy perimeter around a residence linked to the suspect. The operation intensified when law enforcement removed a sliding glass door to gain entry to the home. Following the breach, two uninvolved adults immediately exited the property.

Once inside, teams located Bryant-Muellner attempting to conceal himself in a bedroom. Despite the tension of the entry, he followed commands to crawl out from under the bed and surrendered to officers without further incident.

Following the arrest, specialists from the Washington State Department of Corrections Community Response Unit conducted a probation search of the residence. Authorities reported recovering a handgun and several high-capacity magazines.

Friday’s capture stems from legal troubles originating in April 2024. Bryant-Muellner was previously arrested following a joint investigation involving local police and air support units. That case involved a litany of charges, including First-Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Fourth-Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), and Escape from Community Custody.

U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington, Craig Thayer, credited the arrest to the seamless coordination between the FBI, Spokane Police, and state corrections officers.

“Last night’s arrest reflects the strength of our partnerships and the teamwork among local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies,” Thayer said. “With gun violence continuing to plague Spokane, every violent offender arrested and every firearm taken off the street makes our communities safer.”

Bryant-Muellner is currently in custody as authorities process the probation violation and the new evidence recovered at the scene.
