HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a working mobile home fire Saturday morning. At 9:06 AM.

HCFR’s Emergency Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls from citizens reporting visible flame and smoke. The first arriving fire engine reported a double-wide mobile home heavily involved.

Crews stretched handlines to the structure to engage in an interior attack. The blaze was reported to be out 16 minutes after the first crews arrived.

Crews performed both primary and secondary; there were no occupants inside the structure. One occupant was transported from the scene to a local hospital for evaluation; she is stable.

There were no other reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.

The cause of the fire is being attributed to unattended smoking materials.

The American Red Cross has been called in to assist the three adults who are now displaced due to the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
