MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two Upper Keys residents were recognized Tuesday for their outstanding contributions to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and their unwavering support of local law enforcement. Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay, on behalf of the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA), presented honors to Arlene Ann Miller of Key Largo and Michael Walsh of Islamorada during a special ceremony.
The Florida Sheriffs Association, a non-profit professional organization representing all 67 of Florida’s elected sheriffs, along with thousands of business leaders and citizens, aims to enhance law enforcement through educational and charitable initiatives.

Arlene Ann Miller and Michael Walsh were celebrated for their ongoing efforts to assist the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in various capacities, from volunteering to fundraising and advocacy.
Their work has not only strengthened the relationship between law enforcement and the community but has also contributed to the safety and well-being of residents in the Florida Keys.
