In a Cabinet meeting update that oscillated between grim crime statistics and claims of unprecedented legal obstruction, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Tuesday that the Trump administration has faced 575 lawsuits since taking office.

“We have been sued 575 times,” Bondi told President Trump and assembled officials. “More than every administration going back to Reagan combined.”

The update came alongside sweeping numbers regarding the administration’s federal law enforcement initiatives, specifically the “DC Safe” effort and similar operations in Memphis.

According to Bondi, U.S. Marshals have executed over 7,000 arrests in the nation’s capital alone. Another 3,500 arrests were reported in Memphis, where Treasury agents and Health and Human Services personnel have joined federal efforts on the ground.

Bondi also highlighted a sharp rise in federal apprehension of violent criminals, crediting FBI Director Kash Patel with a “100% increase” in such arrests.

The Cabinet briefing offered a window into the sheer scale of the administration’s aggressive posture on both border enforcement and drug interdiction. DEA Administrator Terry Cole’s agency has reportedly seized 45 million fentanyl pills and 4,200 kilos of fentanyl powder. Bondi characterized the haul as “the weight of 17 full semi-trucks” and enough to provide nearly 350 million lethal doses.

On the legal front, the Attorney General painted a picture of a Justice Department playing both offense and defense. While fending off hundreds of lawsuits—including a recent wrongful termination claim from a fired immigration judge—Bondi touted a 92 percent success rate in cases reaching the Supreme Court, with 24 wins secured by Solicitor General John Sauer.

“We told you it would take a while to get to the Supreme Court,” Bondi said. “We’re doing it at record speed.”

The updates extended into the administration’s broader cultural and political agenda.

The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division has filed three suits against California Governor Gavin Newsom regarding Proposition 50 and policies on gender in sports. Simultaneously, Bondi confirmed the department has dropped “countless cases” prosecuted under the previous administration, specifically citing charges related to January 6th, the FACE Act, and COVID-era mandates.
