General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), recently concluded a visit to Israel, where he engaged in key discussions with Israeli military and intelligence leaders.
During his visit from February 5th to 7th, General Kurilla met with Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF); Major General Tomar Bar, Commander of the Israeli Air Force; and other senior IDF staff. He also held meetings with Ronan Bar, Director of the Israel Security Agency (ISA), and David Barnea, Director of the Mossad.

Discussions focused on regional security challenges, including the situations in Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. General Kurilla and Lieutenant General Halevi also explored ways to deepen the military partnership between the U.S. and Israel, with an emphasis on increasing interoperability and enhancing combined capabilities.
In addition, General Kurilla visited a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery, receiving updates from U.S. service members and IDF partners. The THAAD battery is an integral part of the regional air defense architecture.

General Kurilla reaffirmed the strong military-to-military relationship between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and cooperation in addressing shared security concerns in the region.
