The U.S. Coast Guard conducted a series of Alien Expulsion Flight Operations today, transporting undocumented individuals between California and Texas as part of the federal government’s intensified border enforcement efforts. The operation was carried out in close coordination with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agencies.
The flights, which were conducted under President Donald Trump’s recent executive orders on border security and immigration enforcement, aim to facilitate the rapid removal of undocumented individuals from U.S. soil.

“In accordance with the President’s Executive Orders, the Coast Guard continues to surge assets and leverage its unique capabilities to protect America’s borders, territorial integrity, and sovereignty,” said Adm. Kevin Lunday, the Coast Guard’s Acting Commandant. “Today’s operation exemplifies our coordination with our Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense teammates, through which we are detecting, deterring, and interdicting aliens, drug smuggling, and other terrorist or hostile activity before it reaches our border.”
The operation, led by the Coast Guard’s Eleventh District in California, saw the deployment of personnel and assets from across the country to support DHS efforts. The Coast Guard’s primary responsibility in this mission is the national transport of undocumented individuals to designated locations in Texas and California, where the Department of Defense (DOD) will assume responsibility for their international repatriation.

This initiative is part of the broader immigration enforcement strategy spearheaded by the Trump administration, which has prioritized stricter measures to combat illegal crossings and ensure border security.
The Coast Guard’s involvement reflects its evolving role in national security, leveraging its maritime and aviation capabilities to supplement DHS operations in combating illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and other cross-border threats.
Federal officials have reiterated their commitment to enforcing immigration laws while maintaining national security, with further operations expected in the coming weeks. The public is advised to stay informed on border policy changes and travel advisories as enforcement actions continue.
