TAMPA, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double stabbing involving University of South Florida students that occurred early Wednesday at an apartment complex on North 46th Street, as well as a related death investigation.
At 4:26 a.m., the HCSO 911 Dispatch Center received a call from a man reporting that he and another individual had been stabbed at the location. Both victims are currently in stable condition. The sheriff’s office confirmed that the suspect and one of the victims are students at USF.
In an update released at 3:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office announced it is conducting a separate death investigation at 3600 East Fletcher Avenue in Tampa. Detectives believe the deceased individual at that location is the suspect from the North 46th Street stabbing.
