TAMPA, Fla. – USF’s six home games at Raymond James Stadium last season had an actual average attendance of 20,632 with an average announced of 33,194. The former represented a drop of nearly 2,000 fans per game from 2024, when the average was 22,577.
The difference was Miami visited RJS in 2024 and drew a crowd of 48,928 with an announced of 58,616. The September 21 date with the ‘Canes was one of only five games USF played in Tampa. The matchup with Memphis was moved to Orlando in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. The announced attendance at Camping World Stadium was 3,365 and does not figure into the aforementioned average for the 2024 season.

August 28, Boise State
Actual: 19,663 | Announced: 34,707
This Thursday evening affair was a key game as far as the Group of Five was concerned. The Broncos were AP preseason No. 25 and the only ranked team among the non-autonomous conferences. Locklan Hewlett’s touchdown pass out of punt formation was among many highlights in a 34-7 win.
September 30, South Carolina State
Actual: 18,099 | Announced: 28,461
A 63-14 win over the Bulldogs of the FCS followed a season-opening slate of Boise State, Florida and Miami.
October 3, Charlotte
Actual: 26,196 | Announced: 34,577
Following a bye, the Bulls’ conference opener resulted in a 54-26 romp over the 49ers. USF piled up 631 yards and 36 first downs.
October 18, FAU
Actual: 29,928 | Announced: 45,169
A homecoming crowd was the largest of the season and the green and gold faithful were treated to a 48-13 win. The Bulls entered the day No. 19 in the AP.
November 6, UTSA
Actual: 14,490 | Announced: 28,813
The Bulls entered this Thursday evening matchup coming off a loss at Memphis. They were No. 18 in the AP and improved to 7-2 by rolling to a 55-23 victory.
November 29, Rice
Actual: 15,413 | Announced: 27,437
Two weeks after losing at Navy and virtually any hope of a CFP appearance, the smallest crowd of the season (both announced and actual) turned out for what would be Alex Golesh’s final game on the USF sideline. Byrum Brown became the 12th player in FBS history to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. The 52-3 mauling of the Owls would be the quarterback’s final game action with the Bulls.
