TAMPA, Fla. – A six-yard run early in the fourth quarter against Rice on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium put Byrum Brown in exclusive company.
The quarterback entered the game needing 117 yards passing and 96 yards rushing to become the 12th player (13th time) in FBS history to pass for 3,000 yards and run for 1,000 yards in the same season. A 60-yard touchdown pass to Mudia Reuben with 11:21 remaining in the second quarter took care the passing part of the equation.
