PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities have launched a search for a 44-year-old man who disappeared during a commercial fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Robert Luka, who was last seen late and far off the Florida coast.
According to investigators, Luka’s journey began on January 7. Around 2 p.m. that afternoon, he boarded a commercial fishing vessel at the Port of Hudson. The boat reportedly made a stop in Manatee County, near 124th St. Ct. W. in Cortez, before heading into deeper waters.

Luka was last seen on January 11 at approximately 10 p.m. At that time, the vessel was roughly 82 miles off the coast of Pasco County.
Deputies describe Luka as 5 feet 11 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and shorts, though the specific colors of his clothing are unknown.
