POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A weekend defacement of the popular Fort Fraser Trail has led to the arrest of a Bartow woman, accused of causing over $1,000 in damages through extensive graffiti.
On Saturday morning, June 21st, a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputy launched an investigation into vandalism reported on the scenic trail. Graffiti marred two bridges, sections of the trail itself, and several railings, with damages estimated to exceed $1,000.

During the initial investigation, the deputy spoke with two witnesses who identified the alleged perpetrator as 30-year-old Irvanna Lynn Olmstead of Bartow, known to some as “Vanna.”
Further solidifying the witnesses’ claims, some of the painted graffiti explicitly read “Irvanna,” directly linking the suspect to the crime.
Following up on the lead, the deputy proceeded to a residence frequently visited by Olmstead. There, authorities located paint that was an exact match to the paint used in the vandalism on the trail.
