Cullis Colson, 59, from Plant City, is charged with Aggravated Battery and Tampering with a Witness.

Deputies say on June 28, 2020, Colson beat the victim, causing the victim to suffer a bruised lung, several broken ribs, a broken scapula, and a broken vertebra.

“This man not only physically attacked the victim, but he also made threats, which made the victim initially afraid to come forward to file a report,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I applaud the work of our deputies to ensure the victim felt safe and tracking down the suspect so that he can be held accountable for his actions.”

Friday, with the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Colson was located in St. Pete Beach and taken into custody. He was transported by PCSO to jail.
