A Virginia woman is facing multiple charges after her dog attacked another woman on October 3, an incident that ended with a police officer shooting and killing the animal.
The attack, which left the victim with serious injuries, has prompted two other individuals to come forward with claims of being attacked by the same dog earlier this year.
The dog’s owner, Tiffany Turner, of Roanoke County, was arrested and charged with one count of felony failure to control a dog leading to human injury, along with two counts each of misdemeanor animal nuisance and dog at large.
According to the police, a woman was walking her own dog when she was attacked by a pit bull, which was captured on a doorbell camera.

Officers arriving at the scene initially used a taser to briefly scare the dog away. However, as they were attending to the victim, the dog aggressively returned, attempting to bypass the officers to attack the woman again.
Due to the immediate threat posed by the animal, an officer was forced to shoot and kill the dog.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is currently stable, according to reports.
According to WDBJ, since the October 3 attack, police have revealed that two other people have come forward, alleging they were attacked by the same dog under different circumstances earlier this year.
