A 35-year-old Florida woman was arrested Friday for multiple drug-related charges following a traffic stop.
Cecilia Theresa Armas of Cape Coral was charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid driver’s license.
She also had a warrant for her arrest out of Polk County, Florida.
Armas was stopped on U.S. 1 southbound near Mile Marker 55 at approximately 9:42 p.m. following calls of a reckless driver in a white Dodge sedan who was weaving in and out of traffic.
“Armas was the lone occupant. It was quickly learned her driver’s license was suspended. Armas stated there were illegal narcotics in the vehicle,” said Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The following was found during a search:
• 1.8 grams of fentanyl
• 6.8 grams of methamphetamine
• 11.5 grams of marijuana
